Q: can you put rubbing alcohol in these jars with no ill effects to the jar or lid?

A: Our Chemical Resistance Chart shows that this jar is generally compatible with Pure Isopropyl Alcohol, however, we always recommend that you test your product in the container you choose prior to use.

Q: Is this jar food safe (FDA) and what lined, tops are compatible? Do you offer wholesale pricing? Can these be frozen without cracking? Thank you!

A: Yes, all the jars and caps offered on eBottles.com are FDA food grade and these jars can be put in the freezer. The caps available for each size are listed under Closure Options. The Fine Ribbed White or Black Caps and the Smooth Sided White Caps each have a Foamed Polyethylene (F217) liner, and the White Metal Caps have a Plastisol liner. The prices published on our website are wholesale prices, however, we do offer additional volume discounts for orders over $1,000.

Q: can these be hot filled

A: Polystyrene exhibits poor resistance to high temperatures (maximum 150° F), making it incompatible with hot filled products. Please click here for a description of all plastic materials and their common uses. If your product requires a vacuum seal, we suggest that you use glass jars with plastisol lined metal caps.

Q: I want the lined smooth sided lids with these jars - what type of lining is in the lids? Thank you!

A: Plastic Caps use Foamed Polyethylene (F217) Liners. F-217 is a soft polyethylene foam core covered on top and bottom with solid, clear polyethylene supplied in .050” thickness. F217 has become the industry standard due to its all purpose compatibility, resilient, compressible seal, cleanliness (no pulp dust) and economy. F217 liners have excellent chemical resistance and a low moisture transmission rate. F217 also has good taste and odor resistance.

Headline: Were Satisfied With These Jars!

Product use: We jar our own salsa and these jars are great because after putting our own labels on them we are still able to see the salsa thru the clear jars so our customers can see the consistancy of the salsa. Very nice!

What is good: For the purspose of our salsa, the lids fit great and are leak proof. The jars are clear so that we can see the actual product.
What is not so good: The labels dont fit the jars so we have to cut each individual label to fit the jars.
About the service: Website is not as user friendly as I had hoped. Ordering the items were easy. Calling your company, as per the info on the website, gave us a sense of "the company is not readily available for me" because the first time we ordered from you, the product did take longer to get to us than at any other time so we had to call to find out what the delivery status was and we couldnt talk to an actual person. Overall, we are pleased.
