Customer Questions
I am looking for plastic jars that are approximately 4"tall and aproximately 3" in diameter. I do not need lids. What do you have? I dont see dimensions on your website. Janie
Janie - Check out item codes 444 and 445. These 16 oz jars in clear or white have your required measurements. You can also look up the dimensions of all our bottles by clicking on the bottle size.
Is this jar BPA free?
Yes, all our bottles and jars are BPA free.
are these jars for liquid
Paired with one of the closure options that we offer, these jars can be used for liquids. All of the closures offered on eBottles are designed to provide leak-proof seals with our bottles and jars when used correctly.
Are the lids sold separate from the jar?
Yes, the lids are sold separately. Once you select your bottle quantity, you will be prompted to select your lids on the following page.
how would these jars hold up with minimal contact with a copper solvent (i.e. gun barrel cleaning solvent)?
PET Plastic provides very good alcohol and essential oil barrier properties, and generally good chemical resistance (although acetones and ketones will attack PET). As always, we recommend that you test your product in the container you choose prior to use since we are not familiar with your product and cannot make any guarantees.
do you have a jar that is 2.75" diameter x 2.75" tall or near those dimensions in this clear plastic?
Our 8 oz. PET Straight Sided Jar measures:
The Overall Height is 3.03"
The Diameter is 2.88"
(measurements are for bottle without closure, the cap will add approx. .125")

Are these jars FDA-approved food grade?
Yes, all the bottles and jars offered on eBottles.com are FDA approved food grade.
Are these bottles freezer and microwaveable safe?
The PET Plastic Jars are safe to be put in the freezer, but we dont recommend using them in the microwave.
Are these jars autoclavable? We need to sterilize them in a pressure cooker at 121 degrees for about 20 minutes.
PET does not provide resistance to high temperature applications (max. temp. 160° F). Autoclaves use temperatures of 121° Celsius (= 250° F), or higher. We can recommend any of our Polypropylene (PP) jars for this application.
Are these jars food grade? Do they have a seal? I am looking for a jar to sell yogurt in.
All the bottles and jars we carry are FDA food grade, however, in order to vacuum pack your product, you will need to use glass jars with plastisol lined metal lids.
Two Questions,
1. Are These Jars Unbreakable, or do they break into shards when they break?
2. Are These Jars Liquid and cream safe? Or will my product ooze from the seams when being shipped?
PET is a very resilient material, it is the same material that water bottles are made from. You may be thinking of styrene, which is a brittle material.
The jars should prove to be satisfactory in shipping.
