Q: Im looking for a smaller size bottle, around the 125ml size or 100ml, or even a "pot belly" style of bottle. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks, Tom

Q: I ordered 36 of the 34oz swingtop round bottles and I ruined 7 of the metal and rubber part, the actual swingtops. Is there a way I can purchase just those replacements, I have printed on them already with very expensive paper and I dont want to waste those bottles!! Please let me know what you can do.

A: While we dont carry any replacement metal swingtops, we do have replacement rubber gaskets available for our customers. Please contact us toll free at 888-215-0023 and one of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.

Q: Where is the glass made? Is it lead-free? Thanks

A: The Swing Top Bottles are imported from Italy, and all our glass bottles are lead-free.

Q: Can you please tell me the height of each of these? Thank you!

A: The measurements are as follows: 250 ml - 8", 500 ml - 10" and 1000 ml - 12.375". You can also look up the dimensions for all our bottles by clicking on the bottle size.

Q: Are these bottles made in Italy? Where is your warehouse located? We would like to place a big order and would like to save on shipping and can arrange a pick up if it is in California. Thank you! Ruth

A: Ruth - These bottles are imported from Italy and ship from our warehouse in Connecticut. If you place a large order, we can send the bottles via LTL instead of UPS Ground to help you save on the shipping cost. Or, you can arrange for a freight company to pick them up at our warehouse.

Q: I am looking into starting a winery and like these Wire Bail bottles you have. The product I am planning to make will have live yeast. I have been bottling in standard Beer Bottles and am looking for something nicer to go commercial. How do you think these square bottles will hold up?

A: We do believe that these bottles will work just fine, however, we cant make any warranties since we dont know all the specific ingredients in your product and recommend that you always TEST your product in the container you have selected prior to use.

Q: What are the dimensions (width) of the 250mL bottle?

A: The 250 ml bottle is 2" wide.

Q: Are the swing stoppers on these (and all swing stops) ceramic or some other material? I sell cruelty free organic products and would like to keep my containers the same. Thank you! Elizabeth Jones

A: Dear Elizabeth - The stoppers on all our swing top bottles are made from plastic (with a rubber gasket).

Q: Where are your swing top bottles produced?

A: These bottles are manufactured in Italy.

Q: Can you give the measurement for the diameter of the 250ml? The diameter or width is not given. Thank you

A: The bottom of the 250 ml Square Bottle measures 2" x 2", or 2.5" diagonally across.

Q: Can I preserve or can in these bottles? I make homemade bourbon ketchup and use ball jars but want to add some personality to the packaging.

A: Yes, these bottles are suitable for home canning. The wire bail closure has a rubber gasket which will allow you to create a vacuum seal.

Q: Do I have to put the tops and bails on the bottles or are they already attached? If I have to do it, are the directions included with the bottles?

A: The wire bail closures are already attached to the bottles.

Q: Is the plastic in the lids polyethylene? Is the rubber, silicone rubber?

A: Per the manufacturer, the plastic in the lids is polypropylene, and the gaskets are made from plain rubber.

Q: is there any lead in the bottles?

A: There is no lead in any of our bottles.

Q: How do you attach the swing top where it does not spill or leak

A: You would center the rubber gasket over the bottle opening and push down on the wire mechanism to secure the closure in place.

Q: is the 500 ml square or round

A: The 500 ml size is a square bottle. We also carry Round Swingtop Bottles, but they come in a larger, 1000 ml size.

Q: How many ounces in each size bottle?

A: Here are the measurements for you in fluid ounces: 250 ml = about 8.5 oz 500 ml = about 17 oz 1000 ml = about 34 oz

Q: Do you have replacement lids and /or gaskets ?

A: Unfortunately, we dont sell just the wire bail mechanisms or rubber gaskets individually. We just keep a few replacement gaskets on hand for our existing customers.

Q: Can the bottle and the swing top go into the dishwasher (sterilizing mode) or an autoclave to sterilize. I just wasnt sure if the plastic/rubber cap was dishwasher safe. Thanks.

A: We recommend removing the wire bail mechanism and rubber gasket prior to running the bottles through the dishwasher to prevent the metal from corroding and the rubber from drying out or cracking. The wire assembly is easily removed and snaps back into place after washing.

Q: What is the diamter of the mouth in inches?

A: The inner diameter of the Swing Top bottle opening measures 0.75" and the outer diameter measures 1.2".

Q: Can these bottles be capped with a beer bottle style cap? What size?

A: These bottles are not designed to be capped with a beer bottle cap.

Q: Hi, I have received a couple bottles and would like to purchase a larger lot of them, but have a question. Im using these to preserve Fruit concentrates through home canning ( berries, lemons and sugar are the ingredients) I opened one bottle after a week and it was on there good but did not give off a sound to let me know it was sealed properly. So heres my questions. I knwo these have a hermitac seal but how do you process them during home canning (Ive had a bottle break in a water bath canner) and how do you know its sealed properly when opening if the food product inside is not a carbonated drink.i.e. juice or sauce? I would love to buy more but there is practically no info on the web on how to process these bottles at all! Thank you for your time

A: There are several methods to properly can foods, such as hot filling, hot water bathing or pressure canning. Deciding which method is best for you depends on your recipe, the acidity level in your food, and other individual requirements. You can read more about common home canning methods here.
